Services

Each FSG client is unique, and our goal is to work with each client to ensure a structure that works for both parties. Our standard engagements address the needs of high-tech companies at all stages of growth. Special engagements are also available to address tactical needs.

Outsourced Federal Division
Designed for commercially proven, growing high-tech companies that have no DC-based staff, FSG launches such clients' Federal campaigns. They avoid the up front cost of establishing a DC office from scratch during this most difficult and risky stage of Federal market penetration. Once a client's technology has secured traction in the Federal market, FSG assists in the hiring an in-house Federal team.
Federal Sales Augmentation
For high-tech firms that have only a small DC-based sales team (normally 1 - 3 FTEs), FSG provides those capabilities naturally still lacking when the Federal team is so small. Clients leverage FSG's depth of experience and long term relationships, as well as FSG's broad exposure to current and near-term Federal procurements to achieve the sales production of 2 - 3 additional FTEs for half the monthly cost.
Federal Business Development
FSG's Business Development service is designed for high-tech firms that have a well staffed DC area sales office (normally 4 FTEs or more) and for whom market conditions offer the opportunity to grow Federal revenues five fold or more over a two year period. Partnering with an FSG engagement team, clients ensure the benefits of their leading-edge technology secure mind-share among the appropriate decision-makers and decision-influencers across the entire Federal government market.

Federal Business Plan
Designed for high-tech firms at any stage in penetrating the Federal market, this service delivers a professional Federal business plan. Under the leadership of an FSG Managing Director, an FSG research team will prepare a recommended budget with a Federal sales forecast. The plan will identify desirable and required product enhancements with competitive analysis, partnering recommendations, advice on Federal messaging and a list of the most promising near-term opportunities. Federal Business Plan is often included among the initial deliverables in a long term engagement.
Target Federal Procurement
Certain Federal procurements are effective cross-roads for growing high-tech companies. Because of the size and/or visibility of a particular procurement, beating the competition will mean significant advantage; losing to the competition will mean significant disadvantage. For growing companies the effort required to adequately pursue such opportunities often exceeds the limitations of existing staff. Engaging FSG to tactically augment such efforts ensures appropriate sales and business development resources are deployed to secure victory.
Federal Vice President
Executing an effective transition strategy is the best way to ensure no disruption from the loss of a senior Federal executive. Under this service, an FSG Managing Director dedicates at least 20 hours a week to provide the services expected of a Vice President or General Manager of a Government Division. This includes account reviews, forecasting, deal structuring (particularly enterprise licensing), and interfacing with legal and finance. This is an important and valuable offering, as there are so few experienced senior government-sales executives available, and securing the correct replacement could easily take several months.

No other firm provides FSG's level of sales experience, service, or commitment to your success.
